Ask our team ↗Custom foot orthotics are inserts designed for use inside appropriate footwear. They are intended to provide individualized support based on your feet, movement, comfort concerns, and daily activities.
An assessment is generally important because custom orthotics are intended to reflect individual needs rather than provide the same support for every person.
Your clinician can discuss your symptoms, activity demands, footwear, and relevant health history to help determine whether orthotics may be suitable.
Custom orthotics may help improve comfort or support for some people, particularly during standing, walking, or other activities. Individual results can vary, and orthotics do not replace appropriate assessment when pain is persistent, severe, or worsening.
Not all footwear has the same amount of space or structure for orthotic inserts. Your clinician can provide guidance on footwear that may be more compatible with your orthotics and intended activities.
Some people require an adjustment period when beginning to wear orthotics. Your clinician can provide wear instructions and advise you on what to do if the orthotics feel uncomfortable or are difficult to use.
Contact ProMED if you have questions about fit, comfort, wear instructions, or follow-up. It is also important to seek professional advice if you develop new, severe, or worsening foot symptoms.
